Church Cove

The unique and scenic Lizard Peninsula is the most southerly point in mainland Britain, encompassing around 14sq miles. It is bordered by dramatic coastline, intimate coves and sandy beaches, which are best discovered by walking the incredible South-West Coastal Path. Perhaps the most famous of these is the much coveted Kynance Cove-described by the BBC as “one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the South West”.

The Lizard is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as being a SSSI site (Site of Specific Scientific Interest and is protected by English Nature). The peninsula is a haven for wildlife, brimming with fascinating history and rare geology. As well as the never-ending walks and hikes, kayaking, diving, snorkelling, coasteering, fishing and surfing are some other diverse potential activities for the more adventurous.
